Overall, the SCP community is quite fragmented. There are the Russiansqw, who are extremely conservative and demand the highest quality from their articles, to the point of requiring layout at the level of government documents, and then there's Dado Hub.
What I like about SCP is that you can create your own canon. No one limits you. The only thing I don't like about SCP is that after some indefinite year, everything went downhill, and there are no quality articles left. The articles have become unoriginal and less engaging; to write a good article, you don't necessarily have to make it about a universal killer monster that inexplicably devours twenty-three infants once a century.
Among my favorites, I'd like to mention Gamers Against Weed and Are We Cool Yet?. The idea of using anomalies for fun or for art really inspires me.
