>>>/meta/ months ago, but basically, some friends and I were lamenting some of the cultural changes that have happened as a result of the consolidation of the internet, and some of us thought it would be fun to spin up our own little forums or imageboards. so I did! I made some tweaks to layout and functionality to match my vision for a simple, somewhat streamlined imageboard, and then gave it the lunar & lavender look.
the site was made on a whim, but the vague sort of vision I had for it was:
- nonsensical funposting and silliness driven by original content, ala /s4s/ (but sfw and nicer)
- supportive socialization, ala something like wapchan's /kind/
- some hobbyposting, like the interest-oriented boards on other imageboards (games, food, crafts, art, music, etc)
all thrown into one board for the forseeable future, which should help keep things lively and communal :3

I'm very thankful to all the cool people who have stopped by to post a bit, and I'd be honored to have you around as long as this place is fun for you. I think it would be great to see some people try their hand at making some original content, share their niche interests, or simply make some funposts, if you're feeling it. anything to breathe some life into the place and make others smile :D
I should probably do more on my part to start up fun events or threads that grab people's interest, but I've been a little busy myself, just like I imagine the average user is (^^;)
