yes! breaking bad is great, I've watched it a couple times now. have you seen better call saul? it's a bit different but equally worth watching (ideally after breaking bad of course), there are lots of people who even prefer it

I mean, I feel like breaking bad is pretty generally beloved! it's only more recently that I've seen a lot of critical pushback for it not being cerebral enough compared to other famous TV series like the sopranos or the wire. but maybe that critique was always there and I just wasn't aware of it until later

mmm, I don't normally think about favorite characters, but if I had to pick?
from breaking bad, probably jesse, and from bcs, maybe a tie between jimmy and kim.

For me, it's Gustavo Fring. I find him to be a very fascinating and human character. Why? I think a lot of it has to do with the actor and how he performs as Fring. He's done such a great job with displaying the subtle nuances of his character, that most other fictional characters he acts as is basically lifted from Gustavo in particular. You can tell he is a man who has stripped every part of his ego down and rebuilt it into something cold, empty, and resilient. All because of revenge. I would do the same thing. Would you? Could you?

I don't hate BB nor BCS, but I like Sopranos a lot more. I think I also like BB more than BCS, but I also like seeing Bob Odenkirk. Really loved him on Tim and Eric.
