these past couple years, I found myself looking forward to summer, even though my favorite seasons are fall and winter. I liked the romance of a hot summer breeze, of soaking in the sun's indirect heat like a sauna.
it is nice here and there to feel a brief blanket of heat. but once the sweat really kicks in, yeah... it's not as sweet as my imagination. and you didn't even mention the bugs.

I think they're hated by experts because they're such a powerful disease vector. that's why there have been operations where they sterilize loads of mosquitoes and then release them, to try and lower the population
