Firepunch is a very rough and borderline incoherent work, but I find it fascinating and deeply human in its construction.

I also thought that before giving part II a try when it already had more chapters coming out, I was also annoyed that we were going to have a Chainsaw Man without Makima that seemed a lot sillier (or just plain retarded) with high school drama, but it is just as good as part one.

A good part of her character is only understood after both a midway twist and the very end of the movie. A rewatch completely changed my perspective of the first half of the movie, made it more tender and tragic.
I was also able to enjoy the bits of Reze's characterization in the fight scenes better, I guess I wasn't as disoriented by the overanimation on the second watch.

interesting. I never could read chainsaw-man too much. The characters felt too relatable that it made me feel like looking at my life from the outside so-much so that I ended up dropping it. I always envied other people's ability to consume media with more ease than me actually.
