Thanksgiving thread!

What are you making? Where are you going?
Or, are you simply making do with a solitary repast in a dim room?
Even the most bedridden, mildew-encrusted NEET has something to be thankful for, I'd hope. So let’s hear it♪

I feel thankful for not being american
On the other hand I feel rather bitter about having to speak english :/

oh my god, what did they do to that turkey, and what's the beast serving it
spending it alone this year and probably not making anything special.

That's a certain shredded yet industrious BARKBEAST with a host of suspicious syringes.
(So close to Homestuck colors, but then, I hadn't specified....)

going to my parents' with my sister, where we'll make a bunch of food together. we just finalized the menu today, actually!
I'm thankful for the special new people I've met since last thanksgiving, and for the bonds that I've deepened with others. this was a much better year than the year before it, partially due to luck and partially due to my own hand. I'm hoping for an even better year to come!

Oh, nice! As expected of Marzinon, those goodygoody moves suit you as well as ever.
As for me, I'll be going to an aunt's house this year. Still not sure which side of the family that aunt will be from yet (flakin' to the end ^q^)

Now let's see, gratitude...
I'm thankful my family isn't a pain.
I'm grateful that I was able to take it easy to my heart's content before the year of the Horse.
I'm lucky enough to still be surrounded by Megidozens, a flock of charmingly wweird and talented people.
I have a pawn who makes me smile just by booting DD2 for a few minutes. Thank you, Marie.
The whims of God still manages to ignite my soul at random times, so I'm not burnt out yet.
I’m grateful to live in an age where I can assign ChatGPT agents to nag me into behaving like a responsible adult (in full tsundere roleplay voice, no less)
I'm touched that the members of Yasagure Kitsuenjo tolerate my brand of autism with such warmth.
I'm privileged to be a soft first-worlder who gets to enjoy an increasingly favorable yen exchange rate.

... And I'm even thankful to ol' Andrew Hussie, "King of Trainwrecks", for being a handy yardstick to life
Just made stuffing for Friendsgiving! Very yummy

I want Friendsgiving... 😢
I would want Hatesgiving but that's every other time of year.
I don't know anyone irl except for my family and I can no longer stand any of them so I guess I'll be on my room talking to my online girlfriend and drinking red bull

Based as fuck, I hope you have a fun night. Personally I'll be visiting the in-laws since there's no other family around

Gonna be making the turkey with my dad in about an hour. We never have anything fancy. Making the mashed potatoes and gravy. He's making the turkey and stuffing.

Good day
I’m doing nothing. I’m thankful to be happy. At least right now.
Happy Thanksgiving Day
Ended up being the maternal side aunt's house. In company, I kind of age regressed and clammed up while boomers dominated the conversation...

Though the mashed potatoes I supplied were a hit. I tried a new method, and they get extra airy and fine if you press the potatoes through a fine wire mesh strainer. I'll be doing that from now on, I think.

That's age regression? I thought that was a normal thing... 😓

nice that your dish went over well!
everything my sister and I made was well-reviewed, so I was pretty happy with how it all turned out. got to take home a bunch of fat from the duck I roasted too, which is nice.

btw, it was very generous of you to commission art of a marzichan character just for a little occasion like this

S'fine, I was mostly entertaining myself.

But since the yen is so weak... I was also considering getting a parody of the Onegai MyMelo s2 OST cover to bag a few expressions/emotes at once. If anyone has suggested poses, I'm all ears

I look like this and say this
time aflies
time's a fly
time times a fly
buzzing so endlessly
tick
tock
tick
tock
horizons anew
are new really these same horizons?
nine hundred miles from my home
nine quintillion steps to walk that one should maybe somewhen get there
get where?
o say, if, what if the grass is not greener on the other side?
be that it rests, much less
be that every hill anew only looks darker?
only that equinox is slowly swallowing you?
that darkness beset some more every step you take
walking blind ahead in the void
are you lost?
frankly,
I recall not ever feeling found

This is powerful

Are you enjoying the feast?
