hmm, I haven't tried many brands, to be honest! ritter sport makes a marzipan bar that's relatively cheap and easy to find in stores, but something about it just tastes off to me (too sweet?), so I honestly don't like it very much. that might be better than nothing, but I honestly don't know if I would've sought out more marzipan if that was my first introduction.

some other brands I've seen but never had are "mozart" (bars and truffles and other stuff) and "merci" (mini bars of various flavors, one of which is marzipan).

sorry it's so expensive... marzipan isn't very popular outside of europe, so a lot of them are imports with extra fees tacked on. that, plus the price of almonds, I presume
